New build house & garage

Our client in Baldock had plans to build a new detached home and double garage in the large garden of his existing property. 

Gilbert & Gregson Construction Ltd were delighted to be contracted to build this.  The client knew what he wanted to achieve and had designed or ideas on most aspects of the property and finishing’s, he had drawings completed by a local Architect and full planning permission. 

The overall brief was light, airy open plan living with a full garden aspect to the downstairs living area via bi-fold doors to the rear, opening onto a large grassed with outside kitchen and dining and a terrace area to the side aspect.

Gilbert & Gregson took on the full Management and build of the project, advising on design (and carrying out works) on the garden and outside dining and terrace area, and making recommendations for changes where appropriate. 

This start to finish project included site management, health & safety, liaison with utility companies, building control, house numbering, scaffolding, brickwork, timber frame, external cladding, installation of windows & doors, roof trusses and coverings, electric, plumbing, stove, kitchen and bathroom design and installation, all internal carpentry and decoration, finishes and every aspect that is required in-between on a newbuild project.

Clients are always welcome to have as much or as little involvement in their project as they wish.
